Last draft update: 2026-05-31
RoadVane is for riders coordinating safely and respectfully. These Guidelines apply to everything you do on the Service — your profile, the rides you create, the names you choose for groups and routes, anything you say in a voice channel, and the people you nominate as emergency contacts.
Allowed Use
- Create accurate rider profiles, bike entries, and ride plans.
- Coordinate groups, live rides, friend requests, emergency friends, and ride polls.
- Share route, stop, and ride information that helps riders plan and ride safely.
Prohibited Content And Conduct
You must not create, upload, send, or share content or behaviour that is:
- Harassing, threatening, hateful, abusive, exploitative, or discriminatory.
- Sexually explicit or involving sexual exploitation.
- Dangerous, illegal, or encouraging unsafe riding (street racing, traffic violations, wheelies on public roads, evading traffic enforcement).
- Deceptive, impersonating, fraudulent, spam, or malware.
- Infringing another person's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Sharing another person's precise location, contact information, plate number, private route, or safety information without permission.
- Interfering with SOS, crash alerts, ride coordination, or emergency response — including filing false SOS reports.
Voice Channel Behaviour
When you join a voice channel your microphone audio is transmitted to other channel members in real time. You must not use voice channels for harassment, threats, hate speech, sexually explicit content, recordings made without the consent of the other parties, or any unlawful content. RoadVane does not record or store voice channel audio, but the other participants in a channel may report what you say even after the channel ends.
Rider Safety
Do not use RoadVane while riding in a way that distracts you or violates local law. Do not send false SOS reports, misuse crash alerts, or harass people who receive or send safety alerts.
Blocking And Account Restrictions
The app supports blocking another rider so that they no longer see your live ride participation, profile, or friend availability. You may also delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account.
If you encounter a community-safety problem that blocking cannot solve, contact support@roadvane.com.
Enforcement
RoadVane may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, delete accounts, or contact authorities where legally required or where safety is at risk. Where appropriate we will give notice and the opportunity to respond, but we may act immediately where we believe doing so is necessary to protect rider safety or comply with the law.
